Why I created Sponta?

For too long, the job search has worked in one direction only. Companies post, candidates apply, and most of them wait for a response that never comes. I experienced this imbalance firsthand in 2021, while looking for an apprenticeship. Few openings, hundreds of competitors per listing, and a system that gives all the power to recruiters.

Rather than accept it, I decided to act. I built a tool to contact the companies I was interested in directly, without waiting for them to post a job opening. Within days, I had responses, interviews, and an apprenticeship.

That moment changed everything. I realized the problem wasn't the job market itself, but the way candidates access it. Unsolicited applications, when done right, rebalance the power dynamic between companies and candidates.
